Exactly.
Grind is I having to get a bunch of henchies and clean maps over and over again so I get enough gold to get a new armor or see if I can get a gold drop.
PvE end game is farming because there is simply nothing else.
PvP get to unlock exactly what they need as they go in normal PvP, this talk about "being competitive after installing" is complety BS, if I start a PvP monk character (that I never played) and I go to PvP with everything monk unlocked I simply not be playing as well as any other monk player that have experiance on playing one.

But that isn't their point, Drakon. In most PvP-based games, everybody starts with access to the same equipment and abilities, so in every sense of the word their characters are equal and it comes down to skill/experience/knowledge/whatever (with a little luck mixed in) to decide who comes out on top.
That is because those are PvP games, completely (in most cases). Guildwars can't really be compared to those types of games, it isn't just a PvP game, the PvP is not a standalone feature. It is integrated into the PvE. Whether it was done well, or if each individual likes it is really another story entirely.

Boy, you guys have the memory spans of a fruit fly.
Remember when you were all moan-moan-moaning about your precious guild halls? Those things you didn't really need, but wanted anyway, and it was SO UNFAIR how we were HOARDING them to ourselves and WAY OVERCHARGING all the time? Sound familiar?
So after a month-long bitching marathon, you got your sigil trader. Hooray!
Now imagine if that trader sold sigils for a fixed price of 500k. Don't even try to tell me you wouldn't be kicking your feet and holding your breath with reckless abandon.
Pretty sad that I have to point this out for you.

Man, you're as invasive as an elephant in a women's bathroom. The only difference is that the elephant is not as rude as you.

I can think of no better place that a roleplaying guild can engage in that activity than their own game instance that allows dozens of players. A guild hall fits that bill perfectly.
You really need to get off of your PvP-centric high horse.

You missed my point entirely. You got what you wanted, fine. I don't care. But you got it after a lot of whining, and in a form that made it readily available to you. We have not got what we asked for in an available fashion, so you guys really aren't justified in calling us whiners who want everything.

i really dont understand the hostility towards the "complainers". it seems like a lot of the so called complainers are serious players who find major faults with the game. my feeling is that the people who are content with the current situation of the game does not play or care enough about the game. it's not a coincidence that a lot of people are unhappy with the grind just to pvp...

A celestial sigil costs about 50 plat at least.
Celestial sigils were a PvP reward, PvP players end up selling then anyway and what the sigil trader was making then easier to buy or sell.

So you're complaining that they reduced the amount of grind that you need to do in order to unlock stuff?
Why don't you just play more GvG? A match doesn't take that long and you don't need to unlock that much stuff. Save up your points and only buy things immediately before you're going to use them.

You're getting goodies for doing something you supposedly enjoy, and would do anyways.
And you complain?

of course we're complaining.
why does there have to be grind for pvp, which should give everyone an equal opportunity without having to play a millions hrs to unlock through faction points? the new patch solved nothing because the new system doesnt unlock skills faster than playing pve.
and so what if all unlock was implemented? since most people are so damn CONTENT with the current situation, they wouldn't care if UAS was implemented.

PvPers wanted this, they got this, and now they dont want it.
Next Anet gives them all the possible skills from the start and the next hour the pvpers will be in there ass saying "Whyd you do that?! Now noobs have elites and are ruining the playing field."
Like it or Leave.

actually, PvPers wanted UAS and UAR... so we don't have what we want. We have a shitty compromise. Like it or leave sounds like a good idea though. I think you all would be bitching as well if, I dunno... How bout we make it so you can't get gold in PvE, even by selling stuff?
True player vs player combat only happens with UAS and UAR. Right now, we have player's hours vs player's hours. Player 1 has played 3,000,000 more hours, so he has more stuff to use against player 2. That and with more skills, you get more team builds, which essentially means more fun. I don't know what you guys think, but using the same team build a billion times really sucks for me.

Just a little reminder to the PvE'ers who are currently swarming all over the forum pointing out that "first the PvP'ers whined to unlock things through PvP, now they got it and they're still whining!" that PvP'ers are not just one big lump of similar thinking entities. It's not as simple as "us and them", or would you like PvP'ers to call every PvE'er a botter just because there's a few PvE'ers who use bots?

i am really getting sick of seeing an this crap posted in these threads. I realize everyone has a right to there opinions but its unfortunate that the immature babies couldn't find a means of posting this shet in their own guilds website.
We don't really care about your issues take a tissue and be on your way partner. The game is fine and if your not happy with it ... no one is forcing you to play ... so grow up or get lost! I am also noticing that its the same people posting these desperate crys for attention in forum after forum. Bleh

sorry weezer but you have to find a comprimise ... Anet is taking these things is safe steps and careful implementation. My brother a rookie at pvp got 500 points in 2 hours (at that rate thats faster than he could unlock skills in pve) ... I realize it may be boring playing the same build over and over but in most other pvp aspects you dont start with the best equiptment ... you have to earn it. I play pvp and enjoy it alot. I think this update will let me get those few elites that I really dont wanna go off and find.
Also I'd like to add on that on the pve side of it poeple could cry to their hearts content about content ... guess what they have had to wait a lot longer than the pvp people ... this new system is a huge step, don't give up on it so soon.
